When did you know you wanted to do hair? I always played “salon” as a child and my mom is a cosmetology school teacher, so it’s in our blood, but the very first time I cut a mannequin I knew!

How long have you been doing color? I have been in the salon business for nineteen years. I began as a nail tech and specialized in cutting only until about six years ago when I realized how important color was to the end result of my design. I truly enjoy creating a look from start to finish.

How would you describe your approach to doing hair color? My approach to doing hair color is to create elegance and beauty for each guest in a way that enhances their look, balances their skin tones, compliments their own personal style and haircut, all while focusing on current fashion and hair color trends. How can I make it new?

What inspires your creativity? My creativity is inspired by other artists. I love seeing growth in our industry as a whole, but especially within our salon team.

What advice would you give to someone considering coloring their hair for the first time? To someone considering coloring their hair for the first time I would say just try a little accent, it makes everything better!

How do you customize a hair color service for each and every client? I customize a hair color service for a client based on their lifestyle, the look that best compliments their features and accentuates their haircut, and their personal commitment to maintenance.

What celebrity always has great hair and why? I feel that Reese Witherspoon always has great hair. She keeps blondes motivated to change because she’s not afraid to change whether it’s all over or just multi-dimensional and it’s always styled fashionably.

What’s your approach to retaining hair color clients? My approach to retaining hair color clients is to show them change and help them through it. I always like to find new ways to make subtle changes and create excitement about future appointments.

Describe your personal style: My personal style is pretty classic. I like bright crisp colors in clothing and definitely like to add some trend each season for excitement! Every outfit loves jewelry and healthy, shiny, pretty hair is every woman’s friend!

How does your personal style influence your work? I definitely think my personal style influences my work, however it is so nice to be in a business that exposes me to so many other personal styles. It really helps expand my creativity and build great relationships.
