Currently obsessed with: Glossing everyone’s hair, leggings and dressing my daughter like a GAP kids model. When did you know you wanted to do hair? Since I was in grade school, I always cut and colored my friends hair. . .and was always in trouble with parents.

How long have you been doing color? 11 years.

How would you describe your approach to doing hair color? I like to give people a natural look that goes out easily and give them a ton of shine.

What inspires your creativity? All of the girls who work with me especially the young ones. A lot of my clients do too! I love when someone comes in and says “I want a change and do what you want”!

What advice would you give to someone considering coloring their hair for the first time? Don’t be scared! It’s not forever, it will look great!

How do you customize a hair color service for each and every client? I find out how often they are going to come in and keep up with it. Next we see if you’re a warm or a cool tone. We go through lots of pictures and talk about their lifestyle. A soccer mom doesn’t want to have a crazy haircut, and a girl in a band doesn’t want a bob.

What celebrity always has great hair & why? Jennifer Aniston. It’s always healthy and shiny.

What’s your approach to retaining hair color clients? Ensuring that when my guests hair starts to grow out, it does so nicely. I make them look natural and healthy. I also give them a color that will work with their schedule; if my guest can only make it in every 4 months, I don’t radically change their hair color.

Describe your personal style: Simple, but fun! Soccer mom meets trendy.

How does your personal style influence your work? In every way. I understand what it is to want to feel good about yourself, but too busy to spend a lot of time on yourself. I have a career and am still a mom, so I understand the demands of the modern woman!
