Currently obsessed with: I love love love shoes!! I’m also in love with the show Glee. . .the entire show and their soundtrack. I think it bridges the gap between new and old, and allows the younger generations to experience the best of the past!

When did you know you wanted to do hair? When I was a little girl. I would roll my Barbie’s hair with crayons. . .that says it all I think.

How long have you been doing color? Since before I knew what I was actually doing. I was doing color in the kitchen to friends in college before I went to cosmetology school.

How would you describe your approach to doing hair color? I like to push the limits when possible, but not in a crazy way. I like to really think about the chemistry, and optimizing the color wheel.

What inspires your creativity? Everything! Especially fashion. I definitely do not limit myself on what inspires me. In other words, I don’t block ANY creative urges I may have.

What advice would you give to someone considering coloring their hair for the first time? If it’s a big change, try on a wig! If it’s a minor change, it’s not that big of a deal. . .hair grows.

How do you customize a hair color service for each and every client? I consider a lot of factors with each and every client who sits in my chair. Personality, dedication to maintenance, personal style, the condition of a clients hair, all of these factors and more are taken into consideration so I can deliver the best results possible!

What celebrity always has great hair & why? When it comes to color, I love Juliet Moore’s vibrant red. . .especially considering red is THE color for 2011. I love Kate Beckensale’s style. Whether she’s just going out for a bite, or to the Oscars, I am always in awe over her hair!

What’s your approach to retaining hair color clients? I try to keep it fresh. New tones, ideas, or techniques to keep it interesting.

Describe your personal style: Modern, trend oriented Hollywood-esque.

How does your personal style influence your work? I want everyone to feel like a celebrity. Like you would open an Us Weekly and seem them on the red carpet, because that’s how I want to feel.
