Currently obsessed with: It is more of a constant obsession than a current one, but bangs always add instant interest and personality to any style.

When did you know you wanted to do hair? I knew I wanted to do hair when I couldn’t resist cutting my own hair even when I was younger even though I had to hide it from my Mom in the garbage can and I did get caught!

How long have you been doing color? I have been doing color since 2007.

How would you describe your approach to doing hair color? I think that everyone’s approach is different, but I always start with the basics; skin color, hair color, lifestyle, and most importantly the client’s desired expectations.

What inspires your creativity? My creativity is inspired by everything around me, from people to the weather, all the things that reflect and effect our emotions.

What advice would you give to someone considering coloring their hair for the first time? The advice I would give to someone considering coloring their hair for the first time is to be honest. If they are not going to keep up with their color it is best to try something very subtle at first.

How do you customize a hair color service for each and every client? I believe that we are as unique as our fingerprints. It is important for me to provide my client with a look that fits their lifestyle.

What celebrity always has great hair and why? I think that Betty Page has great hair because she’s known more for her bangs than her body, now that’s impressive!

What’s your approach to retaining hair color clients? The most important thing to me in retaining color clients is to listen to the client and create a look that they can maintain as well as meeting their expectations.

Describe your personal style: My personal style is a little schizophrenic.

How does your personal style influence your work? I think that choosing one influence is like only picking one flavor of ice cream and I like to sample them all. I take bits and pieces from many inspirations and create something different that is as unique as every client that sits in my chair.
